I prefer niche providers like hosting****.com who partner with the big ones, offer similar services and still give you preferential conditions when you ask them.

Fabulous.com is in my opinion the best registrar for domainers. I have used many and currently ALL of my domains are with Fabulous. Great interface and the best customer service in the industry.

Fabulous is the sleeping giant. Very little advertising, as opposed to other big registrars such as GoDaddy. Fast domain registration, clean from annoying extras, no overselling like GoDaddy. Clean domain management interface, low prices, superb customer support. Currently moved 50% of my domains from eNom – which I still recommend.

Great Points about choosing Registrars. Why do you prefer Fabulous? I have never used Fabulous.
Personal I have used a few and now I use Directnic.com and GoDaddy because of the ability to register a domain and/or purchase a premier domain at the same time.
