{"id":1302,"date":"2010-09-21T16:43:26","date_gmt":"2010-09-21T20:43:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/?p=1302"},"modified":"2010-09-21T17:15:37","modified_gmt":"2010-09-21T21:15:37","slug":"adobe-record-revenue-all-thanks-to-digital-era-developers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/adobe-record-revenue-all-thanks-to-digital-era-developers\/","title":{"rendered":"Adobe: Record revenue &#8211; All thanks to Digital Era developers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/Adobe.com\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Adobe<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; the makers of a wide range of industry-standard tools for web, graphic and video development announced today its 3rd Quarter results for 2010.<\/p>\n<p>According to the company&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/aboutadobe\/pressroom\/pressreleases\/201009\/Q310Earnings.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>press release<\/strong><\/a>, Adobe achieved record revenue of $990.3 million, compared to $697.5  million reported for the third quarter of fiscal 2009 and $943.0 million  reported in the second quarter of fiscal 2010.\u00a0 This represents a 42% year-over-year revenue growth.\u00a0 Adobe\u2019s third quarter revenue  target range was $950 million to $1 billion.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cStrong performance in each of our major businesses contributed to  record revenue and strong earnings in Q3,\u201d said Shantanu Narayen,  president and CEO of Adobe.\u00a0 \u201cWe remain bullish about Adobe&#8217;s long-term  role in enabling the transformation of content and applications across  industries.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Adobe, the powerhorse of the image and video processing software industry is the absolute king of the market. Any developer worth their salt is using one or more Adobe applications for the PC or the mac to produce, create and process digital imagery and motion video.<\/p>\n<p>While the world of art can still utilize analog media such as paint, celluloid or the humble drawing board, the world of creative has turned digital and there is no turning back from this change to the <strong>all-Digital Era<\/strong> that we live in.<\/p>\n<p>The massive earnings of Adobe also signify great sales for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/products\/creativesuite\/design\/?promoid=DTEMS\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Creative Suite 5 (CS5)<\/strong><\/a> that brought a plethora of updates to a series of established tools.
