{"id":2161,"date":"2012-01-13T13:11:37","date_gmt":"2012-01-13T18:11:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/?p=2161"},"modified":"2012-01-13T13:40:02","modified_gmt":"2012-01-13T18:40:02","slug":"parked-com-and-the-mechanics-of-ppc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/parked-com-and-the-mechanics-of-ppc\/","title":{"rendered":"Parked.com and the mechanics of PPC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When I met the Parked.com crew during <a href=\"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/domains\/traffic-orlando-day-1-a-great-networking-event\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>TRAFFIC 2008 in Orlando<\/strong><\/a>, I had the opportunity to engage with some of the best people in the domain monetization business.<\/p>\n<p>It was clear that Parked rocked during those times and the company did remarkably well; the people that worked for Parked were top notch and experienced professionals.<\/p>\n<p>With Parked.com apparently gone from service, I&#8217;m left with sadness about the demise of a company that later on <a href=\"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/business\/i-love-you-parked-but-i-just-have-to-go\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>declined in performance<\/strong><\/a>, due to its use of Yahoo feeds that imposed the dreaded TQ domain rating.<\/p>\n<p>As far as I know, the now former Parked employees are either at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.domainapps.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Domain Apps<\/strong><\/a> that acquired the Parked.com brand and infrastructure, or working at other companies.<\/p>\n<p>It was great knowing you guys, I wish I had kept my Parked.com t-shirt but I donated it along with other clothing before Christmas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When I met the Parked.com crew during TRAFFIC 2008 in Orlando, I had the opportunity to engage with some of the best people in the domain monetization business.
