Two weeks ago, I posted my TRAFFIC 2012 nomination list<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now it’s the time to expand on it, explaining why I nominated each person or company. By doing so, I’m able to keep notes other than mental ones – after all, this is the purpose of a domain industry blog – as well as providing information for others to peruse.<\/p>\n

\nThe company started in quiet mode, after it was formed by several technology ‘brains’ behind the now extinct Parked.com. Their back-end is superb, the stats and flow of the management panel is clean, and since they primarily use Google, PPC is higher than other feeds.<\/p>\n

\nSedo remains the best overall domain solution, due to the aggressive expansion in the global domain market. A decade since its formation, Sedo has grown substantially, to the point that it has become a household name, the same way GoDaddy is for domains. While there is still a lot of room for improvement, Sedo remains #1 when it comes down to offering a combined platform for parking and trading domain names.<\/p>\n

\nFacebook is infused into the lives of almost a billion users around the world; its ability to adapt in a territory that no company has tested before at such a scale, is commendable. Stock valuation is not the sole metrics, and remember: when a service is offered for free, the userbase is the actual product. You are it.<\/p>\n

DEVELOPER OF THE YEAR<\/strong> –\u00a0Nominated Tia Wood
\nI’ve known Tia for six or seven years; she’s a hard-working, talented web developer that is not afraid to take challenges in an industry dominated by men. Her programming is clean, her talent is well-rounded and she is patient with domainers; the latter, is a big plus as domainers are impatient and demanding.<\/p>\n

DOMAIN BROKER OF THE YEAR<\/strong> –\u00a0Nominated Andrew Rosener
\nAndrew is very efficient, and he actually responds to emails the same day. He’s serious about his job and produces results. In an industry that lacks official certifications, such as that of a “domain broker”, his experience and past results actually offer a great advantage to sellers and buyers alike.<\/p>\n

BEST DOMAIN BLOG<\/strong> –\u00a0Nominated Domain Incite
\nKevin Murphy is a British blogger, and thus possesses the background to write insightful articles in the “Queen’s English”. His focus is well-defined, his articles are substantiated by extensive research and his sense of humor – or, humour<\/em> – is quite elegant. Quality over quantity almost always wins.<\/p>\n

\nMichael Cyger and his DomainSherpa outfit have been the butt of several jokes, on DomainGang, due to his stunning ability to produce lengthy video footage of domain industry interviews. But that’s exactly the reason why I admire Michael: he never gets boring with his questions and he won’t be running out of people to interview, any time soon.<\/p>\n

\nMorgan Linton is a young man in the industry but his background in affiliate marketing, video editing, production and business building make him worthy of this distinction, usually reserved for people at least 10 years older. He also has a cunning sense of humor and maintains top spirits even when others question his motivation.
