{"id":2630,"date":"2012-08-28T16:26:59","date_gmt":"2012-08-28T20:26:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/?p=2630"},"modified":"2012-08-28T16:26:59","modified_gmt":"2012-08-28T20:26:59","slug":"sedo-solves-the-microsoft-logo-mystery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/sedo-solves-the-microsoft-logo-mystery\/","title":{"rendered":"Sedo solves the Microsoft logo mystery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sedo<\/strong> responded to my inquiry about the domain name, <a href=\"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/domains\/microsoft-logo-part-2-the-idiot-who-registered-the-com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>MicrosoftLogo.com<\/strong><\/a>, that some clueless chap went ahead and registered.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, I believed that the source code pulling ads from the Sedo server was some sort of a &#8216;hack&#8217;, but apparently I was wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel from Sedo left this message:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;It appears that the owner of this domain tried to park the name with us, but was unable to do so because it contained a blocked keyword that was flagged by our system. Our system did what it is designed to do, which is prevent the owner from being able to successfully park a domain with a blocked keyword, or earn revenue from it. This is why you could see the Sedo Parking info when viewing the domain\u2019s source code, but the domain did not resolve to a parked page.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Usually, banned keywords in domains parked at Sedo, result in the message &#8220;<em>Services for this domain have been discontinued<\/em>&#8221; being displayed. For some reason, this one did not work as expected.<\/p>\n<p>Good to see Sedo enforcing famous mark filtration on their system.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sedo responded to my inquiry about the domain name, MicrosoftLogo.com, that some clueless chap went ahead and registered.
