Having received three dozen such emails in the past 48 hours, I can only say this: don’t open or click on emails that allege to originate at your bank or credit union.<\/p>\n
Heck, even if the sender appears to be your mom, call her on the phone instead; many phishing attacks begin when one’s list of contacts gets compromised.<\/p>\n
The solution is obvious: visit your accounts directly, by typing – carefully so – the URL in the browser. Make sure you have antivirus installed, and patch\/update your operating system regularly.<\/p>\n
