Never before have I been so impressed<\/strong> by an end-user’s ability to proceed with a transaction and acquisition of a domain from me.<\/p>\n

Particularly, when that person represents an educational institute,<\/strong> where one would expect bureaucracy to slow down the process.<\/p>\n

In my latest sale via Internet Traffic<\/strong><\/a>, I raved about the efficiency of the system and the speed of Escrow.com; what I didn’t mention was that the buyer – a lady marketing director – was equally instrumental in facilitating this sale in such a speedy fashion.<\/p>\n

The private school that acquired the domain clearly took home a good deal; the geo-domain they are renaming the school to was hand-registered by me in 2007. Should it make it into the list of sales, expect to see it at DNJournal after Christmas.<\/p>\n

Transparency<\/strong> is mandatory when one wants to perform a transaction accurately and promptly.<\/p>\n

In my phone communication with the buyer, I was able to determine their needs with regards to a registrar; while they used Network Solutions for their active domain, they wanted to get the new name off the ground immediately. For that reason, a push at the current registrar was decided, all while maintaining the security of the domain.<\/p>\n

And because it’s the Holidays, I added a year to the domain’s registration, which was set to expire in the summer.<\/p>\n

Business transactions depend on both parties being courteous<\/strong> and working towards a smoother, faster exchange. The end result: a happy buyer and a happy seller.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
