Twitter&#8217;s 140 character limit ensures that public messages contain enough information to summarize the context of the supplied link.<\/p>\n<p>After Googling &#8220;<em>domain investing<\/em>&#8220;, I discovered a two year old article by John Chow, titled &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.johnchow.com\/why-domain-investment-is-dead\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Why Domain Investing is Dead<\/strong><\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>John Chow&#8217;s article about the &#8216;end of an era&#8217; investing in domain names, is definitely controversial, as it&#8217;s a <strong>personal opinion that masks itself under an authoritarian subject line.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That personal opinion of a technocrat blogger, is often<strong> the sole reason<\/strong> that controversial subjects appear so high in search results: the article is second only to Elliot Silver&#8217;s blog, <a href=\"http:\/\/domaininvesting.com\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>DomainInvesting.com<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The use of controversy in <a title=\"\u201cDirty\u201d domain tricks or guerrilla marketing?\" href=\"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/business\/dirty-domain-tricks-or-guerrilla-marketing\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>aggressive advertising<\/strong><\/a> isn&#8217;t news and should be regarded as simply a marketing technique with questionable results and unquestionable motives: to stir the public emotion and generate traffic to its destination.<\/p>\n<p>Opinions, when defined as such, are great jump-points to analyze the subject that they cover, and research how their writers perform due diligence when composing an article.<\/p>\n<p>Two years after John Chow&#8217;s article, <strong>domain investing is most certainly not dead.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The introduction of <a title=\"Fear of a .Brand Planet\" href=\"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/domains\/fear-of-a-brand-planet\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>hundreds of new gTLDs<\/strong><\/a> will expand the existing opportunities to define and improve on the domain investing processes.
