{"id":3595,"date":"2013-12-11T18:27:56","date_gmt":"2013-12-11T23:27:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/?p=3595"},"modified":"2013-12-11T18:29:24","modified_gmt":"2013-12-11T23:29:24","slug":"close-a-deal-faster-transfer-the-domain-to-the-buyers-registrar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/close-a-deal-faster-transfer-the-domain-to-the-buyers-registrar\/","title":{"rendered":"Close a deal faster: Transfer the domain to the buyer&#8217;s registrar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the process of selling a domain name successfully, any amount of additional effort on your part pays off.<\/p>\n<p>When selling a domain asset for thousands of dollars, a lot are at stake: time is of the essence, and the overall impression you make as a seller, can be <a href=\"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/domains\/four-letters-five-figures\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>very important to the buyer.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As a gesture of practical, yet genuine attempt to impress your buyer, you can transfer the domain to their registrar, prior to pushing it to the holding account.<\/p>\n<p>This method achieves two things, at a minimal cost: extends the life span of the domain by one year &#8211; often, a necessary action if the domain expires in less than 90 days &#8211; and indicates that you are a sportsman in your field.<\/p>\n<p>Having said that, I can confirm that <a href=\"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/domains\/godaddy-inbound-transfers-require-a-double-checking-of-the-whois-info\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>GoDaddy is the culprit of a problematic WHOIS<\/strong><\/a> update as the gaining registrar; two separate losing registrars seem to have produced the same results at GoDaddy.<\/p>\n<p>The glitch has not been fixed, and it produces missing WHOIS information once the transfer to GoDaddy is complete.
