Things aren&#8217;t that complex, really.<\/p>\n<p>Deals begin with an offer and\/or a quote.<\/p>\n<p>If the offer or the quote aren&#8217;t accepted, we move onto what I call &#8220;the not so appealing alternative.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Having just closed yet another mid four figure sale on <a title=\"Domain Name Sales: Persistence with style delivers sales results\" href=\"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/business\/domain-name-sales-persistence-with-style-delivers-sales-results\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Domain Name Sales<\/strong><\/a>, I implemented the process, which can vary according to what alternative you&#8217;re willing to manifest.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s say, as in the case of this sale, that your buyer offers a reasonable amount that won&#8217;t match your asking price.<\/p>\n<p>If you receive resistance in your counter-offer, you turn their rejection into a two-option situation: a cash only, instant purchase, higher than what they offer, and a firm &#8220;lease to own&#8221; option spread over the course of whichever period of time you&#8217;d like to use. The latter, should obviously be higher than the cash option, if your goal is to get cash now.<\/p>\n<p>By using this method, an otherwise honest buyer faces a firm counter-resistance that spreads the seemingly better deal over several months, but offers a quick buyout if they produce the cash on the spot.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a false dilemma, and your buyer will most likely opt for the smaller total amount, thus buying your domain on the spot.<\/p>\n<p>Have fun trying it out. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy July 4th and TGIF.
