{"id":4299,"date":"2014-11-10T16:00:59","date_gmt":"2014-11-10T21:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/?p=4299"},"modified":"2017-12-05T23:02:31","modified_gmt":"2017-12-06T04:02:31","slug":"first-domain-sale-using-escrowhill-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/first-domain-sale-using-escrowhill-com\/","title":{"rendered":"Detailed: My first domain sale using EscrowHill.com"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week I completed <a title=\"How I sold a domain I didn\u2019t plan to sell\" href=\"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/domains\/how-i-sold-a-domain-i-didnt-plan-to-sell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>my first domain sale using the services of EscrowHill.com<\/strong><\/a>, after coming to an agreement with the buyer over a domain I didn&#8217;t plan to sell in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>It would have been the second such sale using <a href=\"http:\/\/EscrowHill.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Andee Hill&#8217;s professional escrow services<\/strong><\/a> for domains, as <a title=\"Perfect numbers revisited\" href=\"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/domains\/perfect-numbers-revisited\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>a previous attempt could not materialize;<\/strong><\/a> that buyer was from California, where EscrowHill.com does not conduct business, currently.<\/p>\n<p>I used the <strong>Premium Escrow<\/strong> option, which allows EscrowHill to assume control of the domain at the Registrar. It&#8217;s an extra layer of security.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some screenshots from the process of completing the exchange through EscrowHill.com. The following notes might be of interest:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The day before I initiated the transaction, EscrowHill had just finished a major system upgrade, which is reflected in this review. Certain glitches or typos might exist in the system, however I did not experience anything that would hinder me from performing my tasks as the seller.<\/li>\n<li>Once prompted, the buyer created an account, then proceeded with creating a transaction of his own, somehow missing out the existing transaction. I contacted Andee who canceled that transaction and instructed the buyer to use the active one. I recommended to Andee that they place emphasis on open transactions, when one registers and\/or logs into their account.<\/li>\n<li>Most crucial info, other than my name, has been blurred. \ud83d\ude00<\/li>\n<li>This is a hands-on review involving a real domain sale and it is not an advertisement.
