{"id":4317,"date":"2014-11-17T15:22:50","date_gmt":"2014-11-17T20:22:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/?p=4317"},"modified":"2014-11-17T15:23:55","modified_gmt":"2014-11-17T20:23:55","slug":"escrow-com-forms-fax-email","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/escrow-com-forms-fax-email\/","title":{"rendered":"Escrow.com: No more forms to fax or email"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the closing of a domain acquisition at <a title=\"Escrow.com : Two new things I just learned after more than a decade of use\" href=\"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/domains\/escrow-com-two-new-things-just-learned-decade-use\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Escrow.com<\/strong><\/a> today, I was informed of a pleasant update to how credit card payments are handled.<\/p>\n<p>Until now, when making a credit card payment, one had to fax or email a filled out form, with the credit card scanned and another piece of identification &#8211; or the back of the same card &#8211; attached.<\/p>\n<p>The process was to verify physical possession of the card, which cuts down on potential fraud.<\/p>\n<p>When I called the Escrow.com support to confirm and finalize that part, I noticed that my payment was already approved.<\/p>\n<p>According to customer service, the faxing or emailing of that authorization form to Escrow.com has been phased out, and that particular step and page will soon be removed from the web site.<\/p>\n<p>Definitely a welcome improvement on the already stellar service at Escrow.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the closing of a domain acquisition at Escrow.com today, I was informed of a pleasant update to how credit card payments are handled.
