{"id":4829,"date":"2015-09-17T21:22:43","date_gmt":"2015-09-18T01:22:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/?p=4829"},"modified":"2015-09-17T21:38:09","modified_gmt":"2015-09-18T01:38:09","slug":"love-money-and-the-meaning-of-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acro.net\/blog\/love-money-and-the-meaning-of-life\/","title":{"rendered":"Love, money and the meaning of life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this time and era we&#8217;re often caught in the rat-race, and society has changed a lot in the past decade and a half.<\/p>\n<p>While the Internet connects billions of people, that digital umbilical cord is fragile and easy to disintegrate into the bits and pieces it&#8217;s composed of.<\/p>\n<p>Our friends are one-dimensional, flat projections on our screen, interlinked with conversations stuffed with text, emoticons and the occasional video.<\/p>\n<p>Whether we&#8217;re eager to reach out and get together with our loved ones, or have a face to face conversation with new friends, it&#8217;s impossible to happen &#8220;online.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Unless, we realize that this one-dimensional world is the cast reflection of the real, solid, three-dimensional world out there, that generates movement and sound, emotions that range from laughter to tears, that has smell and texture.<\/p>\n<p>In the real world, our friends and loved ones breathe and hope and aspire, they interact and dream and plan along the timeline of life.<\/p>\n<p>Domain names are flat, one-dimensional cards and digital gizmos that act as flash cards to use along the way, but they have no real flesh nor do they breathe.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone&#8217;s path in life is different, and yet, we all recognize the need to share our special moments, or seek sympathy for the hardship and the tough times.<\/p>\n<p>And that&#8217;s life, in a few words.<\/p>\n<p>In a few more words, Rami Steitieh is just another guy, <a href=\"http:\/\/gogetfunding.com\/give-an-unfortunate-a-life-literally-a-life\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>trying to raise enough funds<\/strong><\/a> to pay for his wife&#8217;s medical bills and save her life.
