Ever since I saw Frank Schilling’s presentation of the Uniregistry Market and the presentation of the app during NamesCon, I’ve been patiently awaiting its upcoming launch.<\/p>\n

Uniregistry has been very consistent in improving its services, and the unification of the Domain Name Sales<\/strong><\/a> platform with the registrar services is expected to resolve many issues.<\/p>\n

I’d like to focus on three current issues<\/strong> I have been facing, that will hopefully be addressed soon.<\/p>\n

First<\/strong>, there seems to be an issue for domains to retain the capitalization setting. The details page displays the casing of my choice, but the live domain does not, and it reverts to a random, automatic capitalization.<\/p>\n

Second<\/strong>, the relevancy of the PPC ads, is off. Despite the checking of the “Keyword” box, the setting of a category\/subcategory does not affect the ads displayed. This worked nicely until the beta testing and integration of the two systems started.<\/p>\n

Third<\/strong>, the portfolio settings are not affecting the live instance of the domains. For example, moving a domain to a portfolio that should display a contact form, as opposed to ads, does not have an effect on the live site.<\/p>\n

I’m certain that these are issues that will be addressed soon, as it’s important, particularly with large portfolios, to ensure that there is consistency and retention of the settings, some of which can take a lot of effort to tweak.<\/p>\n

I would also add that I’m hoping the launch of the Uniregistry app for the Android OS<\/strong> will indeed occur in March, as promised by Frank. The Android crowd represents at least 50% of the mobile market, and the iOS folks should not receive special treatment. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
