Confirmed: Spam email from a Gmail account promoted DomCollect .eu domains

Yesterday, I referred to a mysterious spam email promoting the auction of a .eu domain owned by DomCollect – a sister company of Sedo.

In other words, DomCollect functions as the private portfolio management company of domain assets owned by Sedo.

Today, I can confirm that the spam email, sent using the mass email/proxy services of a popular domain research tool, pointed to a DomCollect list of .eu domain names, as posted on DNForum earlier today.

That post has been deleted, as it violated several DNForum rules.

The link to the auction is here. It includes the .eu domain referred to by the spam email.

I consider .eu domains to be junk and the practice of spamming by DomCollect is completely unprofessional.
