Don’t be a Domainer Grinch

The holiday spirit dictates that even if you disagree with someone’s opinion or statement, they let them be.

In a world of emerging competition and severely clashing egos, the best approach is to refrain from becoming The Grinch.

The new year is bound to introduce a wide spectrum of exciting possibilities in the world of domain investing and business convergence. Regardless of the direction you choose, there will be more opportunities for success and expansion of your business, than ever.

Whether you make it or break it through this Brave New business world, it’s up to you.

By staying positive, you become less focused on the failure of others and more focused on your own personal and professional success; good karma is something earned with hard work.

And as the quote goes, “if you don’t have anything positive to say, don’t say anything at all.”

Happy Holidays – see you in Las Vegas.

  1. Been hearing a lot of negativity towards gtlds now, have we? Ummmm, maybe that’s because your readers are professional, established, intelligent domainers and already know how this silly gtld story ends.

Telling us not to voice our dissenting opinions is like asking us to refrain from telling you about the bus that is about to mow you down.

You want to plug your ears, you go ahead and do that.

Good luck at the gtld cconference. The rest of us will be using the money to renew our .com registrations. I suggest you do the same but to each his own.

  2. You are becoming to nice in your old age. Who stole the old Acro? Did you fall in love or buy a dog or something. LOL

  3. gtld Gerry – Thank you for being The Grinch that hates Christmas.

Somehow, I don’t think you belong to the category of “professional, established, intelligent domainers” that you speak of. Using a fake email with a locale of West Palm Beach only tells me you are from the general area that really fears change. But you cannot stop change, progress and evolution.

For the record, NamesCon is not a gTLD conference but it will be remembered as the one that truly embraced every single aspect of domain investing, without an agenda or bias. Check out the sponsors and speakers, including numero uno Frank Schilling. You can still register for $399 and make some meaningful connections, not to mention, live it up a little in Vegas.

I have as many .com domains as the next guy, but I’m also embracing the future. I suggest you do the same but each to their own. GRINCH LEVEL: 100%

Todd – Long time, dude! I’ve always been nice to those that are open-minded, regardless of opinion. Of course I’m older, and wiser. And yes to both your observations. 😀 GRINCH LEVEL: 0%

  4. Acro some good words of advice. It’s always good to be nice to people, karma can be a bitch 🙂
