Considering a domain from BuyDomains? Don’t procrastinate!

If you consider buying a domain name from BuyDomains, my suggestion is to not procrastinate.

In the past, I acquired domains from BuyDomains.com using their phone service; the transactions, in the low $x,xxx range each time, were quick and effortless.

If you’re using DomainTools to look up domain availability and the “For sale” icon links to a domain listed at BuyDomains, each such click is most likely recorded.

In other words, BuyDomains can tell how often a domain was viewed and automatically added to one’s cart; if there is an increased interest, the price goes up.

Just witnessed one such price increase for a domain I was considering: the sub-$800 price is now above $1,200 – a 50% increase. Definitely not a holiday discount, per my expectations!

You can still contact BuyDomains and place an offer, but it’s questionable whether you can get a 50% discount after the price has gone up.
