There has been a lot of controversy recently about ‘XYZ’ domain names.
The criticism primarily arises not from the gTLD itself, but rather from the artificially inflated metrics – all thanks to an apparent XYZ agreement with Network Solutions.
While this argument has been brought to the domain industry’s attention by many domain investors, these numbers continue to rise at Network Solutions, making many to feel rather uneasy.
I must admit that I do own one ‘XYZ’ domain name, and have absolutely no plans to register another one.
It’s XYZhosting.com. 😀
…and the domain name was registered on April 1st.
Mike – I didn’t even notice, good catch 😀 I bought it a couple of years ago.
Tip for you!
If you hurry up and transfer XYZhosting.com
to Network Solutions, you will receive XYZhosting.xyz for FREE.
And you won’t have to do a damn thing-it’s automatic.
Then you’ll be the proud owner of 2 XYZ domains. 🙂
Patrick – Brilliant. Just transferred my last domain at NetSol to Uniregistry. I might do the same and get a .sexy instead 😛
“I might do the same and get a .sexy instead ”
Everyone knows you’re sexy so you don’t really need the domain.
But if you do want a .sexy domain at Uniregistry, you’ll actually have to register and pay for it unfortunately.
It’s not automatically given or free. 🙁
