Now that GoDaddy has rolled out two way authentication internationally, there is no excuse not to use it.
In 2014 and 2015, the proliferation of domain theft targeted GoDaddy customers in record numbers.
One cannot blame it on anything else than the fact that in pure numbers, GoDaddy is the biggest domain registrar in the world, and thus, a very inviting target.
Many things have changed since Bob Parsons moved away from the role of the CEO, and for the better.
Sure, we all miss the references to buxom females showcasing the GoDaddy ‘goodies‘ during Super Bowl commercials. 😉
Then again, domain investors and businesses alike need to focus on business and revenue, and leave entertaining innuendos for the locker room.
To recap: Using the two way authentication at GoDaddy – despite the lack of a dedicated app as it was originally planned – is the best line of defense against domain thieves and cybercriminals.
