The Uniregistry Market is a clean, functional venue to sell your domain names; whether they are at Uniregistry – the registrar – or elsewhere.
I’ve been using its predecessor, Domain Name Sales, since its opening to the public in 2012; the Uniregistry Market and its associated apps for iOS and Android make things considerably easier.
No product is without issues or glitches, and I consider myself fortunate to have been involved with beta-testing these Uniregistry products. It’s a work in progress, and the Uniregistry folks are great at listening and improving the features.
With that in mind, I thought it’d be fun to share one of the pitfalls of using the Uniregistry Market as a “chatroom” style app.
Some inquiries, predominantly outside of the US, perceive the layout to be a live, “messenger” conversation exchange.
During my sleeping hours, some inquiries seek a response instantly, asking “Are you there?” or “Hello???” or the less friendly “Talk to me!”
Perhaps, it’s the millennial generation, needing instant gratification, or it’s a design flaw of the system as well: there has to be an indication that this is not a live chat.
It would also be interesting to implement a chat bot, that’d process the domain’s metrics, and relay some basic information to the inquirer, until after I’ve had my morning coffee mug.
I’m sure that Uniregistry has some plans for the future.
Great post as usual and an even better catch. We have submitted new verbiage to tech, and we will be releasing it soon.
Have a great day. Keep up the great work.
