September 11 marks the haunting legacy of human loss, in an extensive act of terrorism that cost 3,000 human lives.
Every year, memories of that day should become stronger, not weaker; they should become starting points for new beginnings, not the end of the line.
This year also marks the first time since the 9/11 events that the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in NYC is rising again.
Destroyed in the attacks, the old church did not crush the faith of the Greek community in New York City, that made it a goal to rebuild it. Construction is ongoing, and the final plan will provide the Christian faithful with a national shrine that will stand out for its modern yet traditional design elements.
From the ashes, new life rises. God bless the victims of 9/11 and their families. Never forget.
Glad to see rebuilding.
Gard bless Amerika. Yeeeahh!
Here we are 14 years later stronger than ever. Such a powerful symbol of rising from the ashes like you pointed out. Thanks for the post.
