In this time and era we’re often caught in the rat-race, and society has changed a lot in the past decade and a half.
While the Internet connects billions of people, that digital umbilical cord is fragile and easy to disintegrate into the bits and pieces it’s composed of.
Our friends are one-dimensional, flat projections on our screen, interlinked with conversations stuffed with text, emoticons and the occasional video.
Whether we’re eager to reach out and get together with our loved ones, or have a face to face conversation with new friends, it’s impossible to happen “online.”
Unless, we realize that this one-dimensional world is the cast reflection of the real, solid, three-dimensional world out there, that generates movement and sound, emotions that range from laughter to tears, that has smell and texture.
In the real world, our friends and loved ones breathe and hope and aspire, they interact and dream and plan along the timeline of life.
Domain names are flat, one-dimensional cards and digital gizmos that act as flash cards to use along the way, but they have no real flesh nor do they breathe.
Everyone’s path in life is different, and yet, we all recognize the need to share our special moments, or seek sympathy for the hardship and the tough times.
And that’s life, in a few words.
In a few more words, Rami Steitieh is just another guy, trying to raise enough funds to pay for his wife’s medical bills and save her life. That’s life, and love, and agony projected from the real, three-dimensional world, onto the flat surfaces of screens in text lines.
There’s also an auction at NamePros to raise funds, so when you visit, use your three-dimensional, human mind and heart to accept this effort as a demonstration of a man’s love for his ailing wife.
This is a very different but refreshing post. Thank you for taking the time to write it up.
I think sometimes in life we make ourselves “too” busy for the important things like family and close friends. We are tied up in technology especially us people who buy and sell domains hahah!
Let’s not forget the truly important things in life…and grind everday to make sure we can provide for the ones that we care about!
