Why vacations are necessary

When I was a kid, the summer school break lasted from June to September – three and a half months of care-free play time.

As an adult, I often found myself working non-stop, trying to forget that my childhood years passed by a long time ago. For many, it’s the ‘mature’ thing to do.

By forgetting that people need a break, a vacation, a change of pace, we risk living life to its fullest. Summertime isn’t always dry and sunny in Florida even, but it’s still a time to get one’s feet wet and step into the water, watch the sunset or ‘waste time’ without much care in the world.

And that’s why vacations are necessary, whether one is a domainer or a developer or a hard-working start-up executive. It’s the recharge mechanism that loads up one’s batteries and keeps us going through the busy winter days.

  1. That’s true, thank you for the reminder. We’d renew ourselves to live better and work smarter! A time to catch a domain and build a website, a time to enjoy a great day with family/friends on a picnic 🙂
