Backorderzone beat SnapNames and Pool

Backorderzone.com – I ‘hate’ these guys.

Actually, I don’t hate them, but I’m amazed that they beat both SnapNames and Pool for a domain I had backordered.

While SnapNames sent me the usual “apology” for trying and failing to capture the domain, not a pip was heard from Pool.

Upon checking the WHOIS via DomainTools, I noticed that Backorderzone.com is the new holder of the domain.

The Colorado Springs company both captures and auctions domains and it’s free to join. It is not yet clear to me if Backorderzone also holds domains for themselves or only catches them for clients.

So far I haven’t signed up, but I might do so, if the domain I wanted is somehow sent to auction.

Good job, Backorderzone…

  1. Yes, they do have a high success rate in grabbing premium domains. We wrote an article about them in early Jan: http://www.domainsville.com/blog/backorderzone-takes-on-domain-drop-catchers-with-competitive-pricing-high-success-rate/

  2. Thanks Abdu. I will probably test drive them; after all they got the domain I wanted 😀

  3. We are glad you like our catch rate !!!

Couple of things about our club for domainers who heard about us, but don’t know how we work.
    – We capture domains strictly for our client
    – If domain goes into an auction, the only bidders allowed to participate, are the clients who have backordered it before the drop.
    – The cutoff time for backorders on the same day dropping domains is at 10:59:59 AM MDT
    – To make domaner’s life easier we offer an API, to automate some of the daily processes
    – The backorder price is $49, also we offer credits, which can drop backorder price to $18 per domain
    – We offer an option to refill balance to pay for auctions or purchase credits with PayPal, Credit Card, Wire or Check.
    – Also, if domain goes into an auction, the winner will be charged 1 credit or $49 plus the auction closing price.
    – And by the way, all auctions start at $0

Please let us know if you need more clarifications and we will be happy to assist you.

    Thank you,
    BackorderZone.com

  4. For the record…

    BackorderZone.com = intrustdomains = scum

  5. Comment above is a great example of what some domainers do, so less people use us. Let the catch rate speak for itself not the gossips 🙂
