Because Morgan Linton is too nice to say “FU” – I’ll say it

I can’t stand the Debbie Downer type of commentators, that simply talk down on the achievements of others. When they hide behind a fake alias, bouncing email or both, they can be classified as keyboard masturbators. They are also underachievers with too much time in their hands.

After I posted my analysis on the people I nominated for TRAFFIC this year, someone took the time to talk down each and every one of my choices. He attempted to discredit every fella and company that I believe should be recognized for their work, achievements and contribution.

I emailed the guy back, because no such comment would make it past my moderation without first confirming the identity of their sender and their agenda; sure enough the email bounced.

Particularly so, the commentator seemed to focus on Morgan Linton, whom I nominated for the TRAFFIC Hall of Fame. Having met Morgan in person, I can honestly say that he’s 100% genuine, talented and hard-working, with a great sense of humor, and after yesterday’s announcement about his new venture, he will achieve the type of success that good, honest, hard-working men deserve.

Except, he is far too nice to bother telling this coward commentator a resounding “fuck you“, so I have to do it on his behalf.

  1. “Don’t sweat the small stuff… and its all small stuff.”

  2. Anticareer – I don’t sweat over anything, just standing up for my friend. Nice web site, BTW, I will check it out. 🙂

  3. I consider Morgan one of the nicest guys in the industry and a friend. He would be in agreement with me and say he doesn’t deserve to be in the hall of fame. Not yet. Eventually? Probably. Morgan is also not as defensive as you are so he would likely have just let the guy slide. And defensive is not a bad thing so don’t get defensive 🙂

  4. Shane – Nominations are not automatic awards, they are indicators of extreme appreciation. Yes, Morgan is humble; yet another reason to strongly support his nomination. Let the youth run the world! 😀

  5. It’s the entitlement mentality. Those who can’t figure out how to do it on their own are jealous of the people that do well. They resort to putting successful people down to make themselves feel better for not being smart enough to accomplish what others have.

This might be one of the biggest downfalls of the Internet. Everyone has a voice, and in reality not everyone should have a podium to speak into. Especially those that are jealous of other people’s success and have to put them down in order to feel better about themselves.

  6. Morgan Rocks! Haters will always discredit anyone that does better in life.
