Sedo quietly removed visit indicators from parked domains

Change is good, when it’s announced and declared. When it’s quietly introduced, nobody realizes its subtle effects, until later on.

So I just discovered that by introducing a pop up of metrics aimed at domain buyers, Sedo has quietly and without further explanation – not even a peep – removed the visit counter.

That’s right, one of the most important numbers that sales can be based of, the number of visitors to a domain, has been removed.

The number of visits to a parked page’s “for sale” page is still there, counting the beans but it’s by no means an indicator of traffic.

Knowing the number of visits to a domain parked at Sedo is not good enough; the hits and clicks still show up in one’s panel, but what good is that to the visitor who cannot see these numbers in public anymore?

What else has or will be removed without letting us know in advance?

  1. Sedo visitor stats have always been a bane to me especially with no transparency the difference between afternic visits is 10 times what sedo shows, sedo also deletes domain visits on a constant basis(daily)i would prefer they show all traffic to a domain bots and all as it would give a better idea of the interest in the domain as a whole rather than there voodoo parking stats witch i am convinced they manipulate for there own purposes when it comes to the sales page.
