It’s Friday and all while I’m sitting tight waiting for the delivery of my new camera, I thought I’d reach out to my friends.

I love you all – I just don’t love your spam.

You know who you are: every funny video you see on YouTube, every joke your co-worker sent you, every damn recipe your mom wants to share with the rest of the world – you stick all that in an email and send it my way.

Seriously, I thought I wade through enough unsolicited emails daily; from lowball offers for domains to inquiries about purchasing services I myself provide, such as web and graphics development. The last thing I need is more spam, from my own friends.

I call it “friendly fire” spam.

So here’s what I do to fight back – gently.

I use Gmail to retrieve my email, then mark those multiple daily emails of yours as spam. Gmail learns fast to recognize what I don’t like. Hey presto, more time to deal with regular spam.

I hope you still love me. TGIF.

Let’s face it: our day is long, tiring and full of unpleasant things. We need some good, wholesome fun to take away the daily stress.

To get away from the daily monotony we need some parody, some mindless reading, some quirky info about nothing in particular. Domainers are in a serious business – we’ll be doing some fun things with a serious approach in mind.

So, welcome to DomainGang.com;  if you giggle or spurt your coffee over some of the stuff you’ll be reading here, then that means we do our job right.

Revenue is severely down across the domain parking industry, as PPC companies slowly but surely pass the “benefits” of trickle-down economics to the domainers.

Meanwhile, the main advertising providers, Google and Yahoo post record revenue while they’re reducing ad revenue paid to domain holders. Time to develop your domains.

Yes, I know – it’s a Friday Funny on a Tuesday; but I haven’t done one lately and some people are having severe withdrawal symptoms.

This one is about Facebook’s introduction of usernames this past Saturday; in case you were under the proverbial rock and missed the entire event, which is surrounded by plenty of controversy. Not to mention, that it seems to have spilled over to some other territory.

Personally, I use Facebook for what it was made for; linking to schoolmates and a few select friends, without socializing outside this “circle of trust”.
